Butterfly Symmetry

In class, we have been learning all about symmetry. We can now identify symmetrical shapes and patterns. Mrs McCrum set us a challenge to create symmetrical butterfly wings. This is us working on our individual butterflies. How are we doing? Check out our finished display!

 

Road Safety Walkabout

As part of our Health and Well-being focus, Mr Renfrew has been teaching the children all about road safety.  Before the weather changed, we all went for a walkabout within our local area to look at and discuss safe places to cross the road.  The boys and girls were very observant and shared their knowledge of keeping safe whilst crossing roads with each other. 



Sea Life Aquarium Trip

P2 recently enjoyed a fun filled educational trip to the Sea Life Aquarium in Loch Lomond.  The boys and girls observed a huge variety of sea creatures and even had the opportunity to touch some anemones!  They were over the moon to discover that this is where Nemo and his family live.

Remembrance Day Artwork

In preparation for Remembrance Day, the children used only their fingers and some paint to create beautiful poppy fields.  I think they all did an amazing job and other members of staff have commented on how effective they look.  Well done P2!
